A nice solid and well built case that holds everything in place very solidly. The feet are a little fiddly to fit at first until you get the hang of it, but the instructions available on the website are very clear and simple to follow to get them in place. Similarly when the Pi and board are placed in, everything fits very well and all the ports and such are available.

The case holes are set up for both the DAC and amplified board (as the two can be piggy-backed), so if just used with the DAC alone there are a couple of unused holes which detract from the look a little, but there’s no simple way around that I guess. The IR remote diode however is accessed via a small punch-out section which is very simple to do if you need it, but otherwise the outside of the case is seamless around where it punches through.

As noted in the description the case can be opened without any tools, and once you get the hang of where to squeeze it comes apart into its two main sections easily and yet when together is very solid. And putting everything together is clearly and simply explained via the instructions on the website, via mounting the two end plates onto the Pi and then slipping them into the main body base section and snapping the top over.

All in all a very nice case, matching the quality of the rest of the kit.
